A Black Day in Nepal’s History
A Black Day in Nepal’s History: When Youth Voices Were Silenced 💔
Do you still have the courage or the desire to sail your boat on the river of blood, Mr. K.P. Sharma Oli? You, along with your allies Sher Bahadur Deuba, your ever-sleeping charioteer; Ramesh Lekhak, your armed commander; and Prithvi Subba Gurung, your information minister who believes in silencing every opposing voice history has already condemned you all.
Because even during the dark days of the Panchayat regime and the oppressive rule of the Rana dynasty, no one dared to play Holi with the people’s blood the way your government just did.
Under your leadership, how much has this country been looted? How recklessly has public property been exploited? How have government institutions turned into playgrounds for your loyal followers? There will come a day when every detail will be accounted for.
But one thing will forever define your legacy: you will be remembered as the rulers who dared to silence their own sons and daughters with bullets simply because they demanded dignity and rights.
Every life is unique. Every life is precious.
And yet, Nepal has never witnessed such a heartbreaking loss 😭.
-
104 years of Rana rule ended with the sacrifice of just 4 martyrs.
-
In 1990’s People’s Movement-I, which ended 30 years of Panchayat autocracy, 19 martyrs gave their lives.
-
In the 2006 People’s Movement-II, which abolished the 240-year monarchy, we lost 23 martyrs.
But on a single day, 23rd Bhadra 2082 (September 8, 2025), at least 19 young lives were taken in cold blood. 😓😓What to do ! God give me ways !!!!!
All because of the arrogance of elected leaders Oli, Deuba, Lekhak, and Gurung the very people chosen by the people to represent them. How can history forgive you for forcing Nepal’s youth to pay the highest price ever just to be heard?
On that Monday, across Kathmandu and other major cities, thousands of youths took to the streets under the Gen-Z-led protests against corruption, incompetence, and failed governance. They stood for justice, for accountability, and for a better future. But instead of listening to their voices the voices you are constitutionally bound to hear the government chose bullets over dialogue.
Students wearing college uniforms, carrying nothing but their voices and dreams, were met with relentless gunfire. The loss is immeasurable.
One day, when history tells this story, it will remember Gen-Z the generation that stood against injustice. Nepal, and generations to come, will remain forever indebted to the bravery of these young souls.
