Prospective for Tourism Development at Phulkharka, GangaJamuna-05


Nepal is a geographically landlocked country, it has filled with a village in the nation of villages. Phulkharka, GangaJamuna, is one of the potential tourism destination of Dhading district in Province no. 3. The north frontier is also bordered with Tibet Autonomous Region of the China, and ranges from 500 meters above sea level (subtropical) to Ganesh Himal 7409 meters above sea level. The main tourist attraction in Dhading district, are as follows:

There is plenty of possibility for tourism development in Phulkharka, GangaJamuna. This area has a huge potential for tourism activities because of its richness in natural resources and pilgrimage sites like GangaJamuna Mandir (Temple), twin water fall of Ganga & Jamuna, and Kukur Dhara. Every year, On the fall of  Haribohdarni Ekadashi large number of domestic devotees and visitors travel twin waterfalls falling from approx. 500mtr to pay homage to lord Siva and goddess Ganga & Jamuna. The devotees come from various parts of the Gorkha, Nuwakot, Chitwan, Kathmandu and Dhading district to fill the fair/Jatra. There is also a trend to fly pair of pigeon to reach the desired wishes. 
On the norther facing point of GangaJamun lies Tin:sure Danda 2900 meters above sea level, is the junction point of ​​Baseri, Phulkharka, Ri and Lapa village which is another famous tourist site in this study area. From this view point one can clearly view the magnificent range of  Himalayas such as Mt. Manaslu (8163 m), Holy Mountain Ganesh Himal (7409 m), Mountain Lantang (7234 m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Jugal Himal (Bhairav Takura) and many other peaks. The panoramic view of beautiful river valley of Gandaki & Aakhu khola, landscape view of chain of hills, villages of surrounding districts, Terrance farming will mesmerize. One can see the beauty of nature, wildlife, fora & fauna, medicinal herbs of Himalayan in this study area which is also transit point for Ruby valley ganesh Himal Trekking Trial and Trekking areas of Gorkha district like Manaslu and Tsum Valley.

Finally, Phulkharka village can be developed as one of the unique tourism destination in GangaJamuna RM-05 Dhading form adventure, village, and rural tourism prospective. Tourism resources and attractions like scenic view of Phulkharka and its peripheral area, Ganga-Jamuna, Tin:sure hill, Hanuman danda, Pokhara Danda, Mantari View point, View of Holy Ganesh Himal, favorable climate, sunrise and sunset views, unpolluted environment, forest, landscapes & terraces and traditional culture, lifestyle, Daily activities of local people, etc. are the pull factors and the base for village tour, rural tourism and adventure like hiking, trekking, camping activities mostly for foreign tourist. Rural tourism has gone the way from a form of selective tourism to an important factor in the sustainable tourism development of study area. Researchers are concluded that local people basic and economic needs can be fulfilled through a proper tourism development and formulation of the new tourism products, its implementation with regular monitoring on real basis will help in sustainable tourism practices and enhance tourism knowledge and awareness of their people.
