Panch Pokhari Treks

Panch Pokhari Trek is a trip to one of the remote area of Nepal where lies the five beautiful Pokhari (lakes). Panch Pokhari is situated in a wild nature in the north-east of Jugal Municipality Ward No. 3, Sindhupalchok, Nepal. The lake is located in a beautiful natural setting that’s why it has become a travel destination in the Nepali tourism industry.

Panch Pokhari is be located in the elevation of 4100 meters. Panch Pokari mean 5 holy ponds includes Surya Kunda, Bhairab Kunda, Ganesh Kunda, Sarswati Kunda and Parbati Kunda, and Hindus and Local Buddhist religiously respect the place. Panch pokhari trekking offers beautiful Himalayan view including the Jugal Himalayan range which includes Dorjee Lhakpa (6966m), Madiya (6257m) and Phurbi Chhyachu (6257m), Gauri shankar (7134m), Rolwaling Himalayan range, Langtang Himalaya range etc.

Panch Pokhari region is a full wild nature with full of natural wonders like picturesque villages, impressive display of wild flowers, abundant wild life, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, forests and friendly local people so on. It is a marvelous treks through remote traditional Tamang villages and luxuriant forests.

The trekking trail to Panch Pokhari is an enjoyable walking adventure crossing through lush forests, mountains, landscapes, traditional farming lands, local people who wear traditional dress with Kukuri and high hills of typical Nepal that shows views of far-off mountains lost in horizon. Panch Pokhari region is globally recognized as ninth high wetland of the globe which is still unspoiled by urbanization.


Outline itinerary:
Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Chhimdi
Day 2: Tupi Dada to Panch Pokhari vai Nosyam Pati
Day 3: Panch Pokhari to Deurali
Day 4: Back to Kathmandu
Or,
Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Maithan/Gobre
Day 2: Maithan/Gobre to Nuthala Dada
Day 3: Nuthala Dada to Nosyam pati
Day 4:  Nosyam to Panch Pokhari
Day 5: To explore the Panch Pokhari
Day 6:  Panch Pokhari to Deurali
Day 7:  one hour walking  from Deurali to Chhimdi then back to Kathmandu by Jeep.
