My Last Day of 2025: From Classroom to Meditation Cave
Today is the last day of 2025, and it has become one of the most memorable days of my year.
I woke up early in the morning with many plans in my mind. As planned, I went to college. Surprisingly, there was no teaching duty today. So, I decided to check answer sheets from the mid-term internal exam. While checking, I found something shocking- one student had copied all the questions instead of writing answers! ЁЯШ▒ I was confused and honestly speechless. Teaching is really full of surprises. After that, I went to my office and signed some official documents, then handed them over to Kishore Dai.
As a tourism student and professional, this day was even more special because it was the 27th Anniversary of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). I was invited to the program, so I walked from my office, Ambassador Himalaya Treks and Expedition, to NTB. I arrived there around 10:35 AM, completed the registration, collected my coupon, and began interacting with tourism professionals. Programs like this are always a great platform for networking and learning.
The program was honored by two ministers - one from the Ministry of Tourism and another from the Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizens. One of the most interesting parts was the CEO’s presentation. He spoke about the shifting paradigm of tourism and what lies ahead for Nepal. He strongly highlighted wellness tourism and regenerative tourism, which I personally believe are the future. Nepal must now focus on high-quality tourism - especially cultural hedonism, wellness, regenerative tourism, and adventure tourism.
During the event, I met many familiar faces and institutions: the NATHM family, SOTTO Nepal, TAAN, NMA, PATA, vehicle associations, Prakriti Resort, NTB officers, and many other tourism professionals. It was inspiring and energizing.
After lunch, something unexpected but beautiful happened. We headed toward Milarepa Cave. I had no prior plan to visit this place, but it turned out to be the perfect way to spend New Year’s Eve. The cave has deep spiritual value and is connected to great meditation masters. I spent time meditating there and felt a deep sense of peace. It is truly a perfect destination for meditation and wellness retreats. The place is close to the sacred Bajrayogini Temple, surrounded by nature - everything feels balanced and pure. We even discussed a future business collaboration with Milarepa Meditation Village.
If anyone is looking for a peaceful wellness retreat, remember Ambassador Himalaya Treks and Expedition.
On the way back, I stopped at Boudhanath Stupa, completed three rounds of kora, enjoyed a cup of susu chiya, and then returned to my room.
Now, as I sit quietly, saying goodbye to 2025, many memories flash through my mind - events, people, friends, family, struggles, and growth. This year taught me many lessons.
