Summer Fiesta 2025 : A Memorable Journey to Chitlang with NATHM

Image
Day 1: The Beginning of the Journey On 2082/5/9 (August 25, 2025), our exciting journey began. A day before, my 6th-semester student Arpan Tiwari had called me:   “Sir, you have to come to Chitlang tomorrow.”  Later that evening, Shubham Poudel Sir (BTTM coordinator of NATHM) also asked me if I was free to join. After checking my schedule, I agreed and confirmed on WhatsApp. The next morning, I reached NATHM at 6:45 AM. Before heading to the office, I had breakfast 'Chana and eggs' at Thapa Dai’s shop . At the Ravichautari, Loknath Tripathi (6th Sem Student) briefed us about the day’s itinerary. Soon after, at 08:30 AM, our hiking began from NATHM. It had been almost a month since I last went hiking, so the fresh trail felt exciting. Our group of ten formed a team, and the crew members led us ahead. I stayed in the middle, connecting both the front and back groups. The hiking trail had changed a lot since I last walked it years ago - now there were proper signboards, s...

Tourism Educators Meet 2025

Image
A New Beginning for Tourism Education in Nepal On 2082/4/31 (August 16, 2025) , coinciding with Shreekrishna Janmashtami , my team and I successfully organized the Tourism Educators Meet 2025 . The idea for this event was born about one and a half months ago during a casual tea talk with Kishore Dai and Kedar Ji ( It's not my idea )  What started as a simple conversation  “Let’s do Something”   gradually turned into action. We decided to host the first meet as a pilot project  at KATH College , and from that moment, our journey began. After weeks of planning, preparation, and teamwork, we finally made it happen at Simal Hotel, Thamel . I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the tourism educators from +2 (11/12 classes) and Bachelor-level programs who participated in this event. A special thanks goes to Mr. Sudhir Adhikari , Principal of KATH College, for his continuous support, and to Vinaya Shakya Sir for being our honorable witness. 🙏 ...

Sa:Paru 2082 My Bhaktapur Jatra Experience

Image
On the day of Saa:Paru 2082  B.S , I went to Bhaktapur to see the festival. This was something I had wanted to do ever since I came to Kathmandu, studied Tourism and culture, and began working as a guide. Even though I have been guiding for five years, I had never had the chance to witness and experience Saa : Paru in person. Just as I was about to go, the owner of my rent house  (maa)  where I stay called me to help with some repair work. My plan was to finish office work in morning and head to Bhaktapur in   afternoon. I return  to  Teku, finished the work by 12:00  pm , and headed towards the bus park. Around 12:30, I caught the bus to Bhaktapur. At the bus park, I met one of my students, who was also going to Bhaktapur, so we traveled together. We first reached Siddhapokhari. I called   Bibek Duwal and Shreya Malekar , who were at Golden Gate. On the way to Durbar Square, we saw Gaijatra processions, people playing musical instruments, dancing...
